Funeral and a Stop Sign

I was somewhere where there were a lot of people. We were supposed to be going to work or something like that but someone passed away and we had to go to a funeral. Rachel and her family was there as well. I kept thinking it was for Rabbi Kahan, but then kept remembering he already passed. Then I was thinking it was his wife and was worried about Tracy, the babysitter at Temple, who's husband is best friends with his family. But then I realized it was for someone else. I kept going up to people saying things like, "I know this sounds awful but who is this funeral for again?" And everyone responded, "I don't know either."
We were all going to get in our cars and we were by a high school track. There were kids in uniforms, including their coats, running for gym class. Then everyone dispersed to a different jungle gym. It was summer and I didn't know why they were in class or uniforms still. I thought maybe this was their camp uniform.
We had to drive to the funeral and stop for gas. We had a line of cars following each other.
Then, coming home from the place where we were (the first place - lots of grass and picnic tables, not the funeral) there was a different line of cars. I slowed down and then kept going. I said to Dave, "Was there a stop sign back there?" And then a cop car pulled out and slowly, very slowly, pulled us over. She wanted us to stop on the wrong side of the street, but I wouldn't. I couldn't find my license, but Dave was searching for his instead. (I was the driver). The cop was pregnant and I exclaimed something to that fact, "Oh, you're pregnant." Then I asked her why I was pulled over and she said because I didn't stop. I told her I didn't see a sign. She told me to follow her. She got on her scootter (not the car she drove in on) and took us to a dead end street that ended in a school. I didn't understand why we were on the wrong street. The head of the school came out and started yelling at us. I first apologized for my eye hurting (which I'm sure it physically was at the time) and said that we didn't see a stop sign. She started yelling about kids and stuff like that. She took us to the street with the stop sign. It was HUGE, really, really high and BLUE. And, there weren't any words on it that said stop. I told her I was looking for kids and red. Not blue. It was against the law to give me a ticket for not stopping at a blue sign.

Fish Tank Auction

I was at an auction, of sorts. It was underwater and we had to walk around putting fish into different tanks or items to determine which one we were trying to win. No one could figure out which fish was worth more or remember which items they bid on. There were not only fish, but fish tank items you could put in to win an item. It was all upscale and mostly donated by one woman. There were huge fishtanks, a video game, a dollhouse, glass serving bowls. I had bid on the item I brought but was told I couldn't since I knew how much it was worth. That was part of the game, to figure out what something's retail value was. The item I brought was $100, so I had found two chips, a 10 and a 0 to put in front, but then had to take them back. Sometimes when you put a fish into an item you would see it flopping around because it didn't have any water. This one guy was going crazy over this one item, I think it was spongebob something or other, and he just stayed by it to make sure that no one got it.

Old Boyfriend and a Marching Band

First 1/2 of the dream:
I was visiting with an old boyfriend of mine. He had a new girlfriend but we were hanging out. Dave knew we were hanging out - nothing behind his back. We were having a good time and I was pretty upset with Dave. This old boyfriend and I were very close to kissing, but we didn't. I had stopped it. But he was worried about me. We were driving around, just hanging out. Dave came over to the apartment and he was fuming mad because he couldn't get in touch with me even though he knew what I was doing.
Second 1/2 of the dream:
I was in N.J. watching my brother's marching band. We were out on a field. The band was awesome. They each wore whatever uniform they had worn in high school (one even wore a drill team uniform) and they played from memory. They were standing while they were playing. After the first song ended, they changed formation and turned to face a train that passed every time they played. They played specifically for the train. Then one guy, who had a crush on the girl who got off, starting walking toward her and played a solo. They were very comedic and very precise. They were the best band I had ever heard.
Then I was watching a baby and there were people gathered around me. I had gone into a bathroom and put my money on the coatrack. I was worried someone was going to take it, but I still put it there anyway.

Me and G

I had a very long dream about people and the perceptions of people. There was one part where I was driving a bus and kept having to turn around. There was another part, earlier in the dream, where it was a scavenger hunt but it wasn't quite a scavenger hunt. There were tons of people involved and there were misperceptions, but not in a negative way.

G told me of his dream that he was playing PokeMon Warcraft - not a game that really exists - and that he was a level 16 fighting a level 70 and that he lost because he was so low in level. He went on a bit and was so detailed as to what he was dreaming.

I love my dreams and the fact that I remember them - not as well right now, but it will get better again - and I'm so glad that G is starting down that path.

Ferris Wheels

I was in a room. There was a ride in it, like from Geauga Lake. It had four hanging parts and flew around in a circle - kind of like the ride that has swinging chairs that you sit in and it twirls you around in a circle. The ride was meant for prisoners, but it was still being tested. You sat in the seat and then had to get locked in and you had to put your mouth on this one part to keep your head still. It swung out really, really far and it felt like you were going to hit the person in front of you.
Then I was in my room and I was showing someone the small ferris wheel I had been building. I took it out of my closet and you plugged it into your light. It was a pretty big contraption, but still small enough to fit in a small, motel-sized bedroom. It reminds me of the Chuck E. Cheese ride that is a clock and the child sits in a seat and it goes around and around (very slowly). I was still in the beginning phases of testing my ride as well.

Threes

Let's see what I can remember since I didn't write it down.

The part that stands out is that I had three things to do all on the same date and I couldn't reconcile how to get them all done. I don't remember what the first one was, the second one involved a trip that I had one that was out of the country and Dave and I didn't have our passports with us. The third one was another type of trip, along the same lines, but didn't require a passport.

We were looking for our hotel room and we kept wandering up and down a hallway looking for room 100. We probably passed it a bunch of times, but we just couldn't see the number. We went into the room, which had lauveleer (spelling??) doors. They have the slats and you pull them open and they slide towards the outside. There was already someone in our room. Someone sat in front of a computer screen. It was spring. I was worried about how I was going to be able to do all three things.

1/22/92 and 1/23/92

Well, I was cleaning for Little One's first birthday party (can you imagine - me cleaning!!! ha ha) and I found my old dream journal. I've been glancing through it and it's amazing how awful I am at names. I'm much better with faces, even though I can't always place where I met someone. Sunday, for example, Dave, the kids and I went on an impromptu walk. There's a shiva happening on my street and as I'm almost home I see someone I recognize, who also recognized me. We went through the list of Jewish hangouts, but it was actually band from ages and ages ago. I can't go many places without recognizing someone.

Anyway, as I'm glancing through the journal, I happen upon this entry:

"1/22 & 1/23/92

Long intricate dreams I couldn't remember."

Some things just don't change.

House

I was buying a new house. It had a split level floor plan and the standout part of it is when I went back to look at it it had a odor control system. It was electronic but you had to walk around the house with this odd shaped bowl in your hand and you had to walk it through each part of the house. Then it would come up with these little shavings that would make the room smell good. (In my dream I couldn't smell it. I had no sense of smell.) The old owner of the house was still there and I went back and forth with packing and moving.

Duality

It was long. It was intense, but now I don't remember most of it. I know I had the feeling of duality. There were two distinct situations I kept going between. There were two different guys. I had two personalities - well, maybe I didn't come to think of it. There was water, like a pool, involved.
