Waking Up A Lot

Last night I was waking up a lot. I had a lot of eye dryness and I kept feeling the need to blink. I remember the end of my dream: I was cleaning out my living room (Note: I really need to do this) and was putting all the toys we owned in a big box that had compartments to give to a friend of mine. Then I was sitting at a picnic table. My step-mom was there along with Paul L., the director of a band I used to be in, and we were all chatting. My step-mom turned to me and started talking to me about her end-of-life options and, not that she's close to the end or anything, but she wanted someone to know about them. Then I was walking and in a really big truck was my old boss, Bob F. I went up to him and we slapped "five" and then I realized it was him and didn't really want to talk but since I had just seen him at The Melting Pot, we started to talk about it, until I was interrupted.

Generic Muro 128%

So last night I used the generic version of Muro 128% last night for the first time. It's what my Cole Eye Center Ophthalmologist prescribed for my Map Dot Fingerprint Dystrophy. Well, it's not the only thing he prescribed. He had two other suggestions as well: (1) oral antibiotic with an eye drop I'd have to take the rest of my life (which we both weren't keen on) or (2) micropuncture to create scar tissue in my cornea. He was real keen on this, but the idea of having a hypodermic needle puncture my cornea to create scar tissue is not the way I want to go without trying other options first. I'm going to be doing a little "light" reading - like medical articles can be light - about the subject, but am opting to try the Muro 128%, which the doctor also suggested.
So I put it in and it stung a bit more than I was anticipating. It was hard to keep my eye open so I'm glad I was really tired, but when I woke up this morning, the pain wasn't that bad. I know the Muro has something in it to promote healing, unlike the Lacrilube which I believe is strictly an ointment for moisture. I am definitely going to give this a try for a few months before even considering micropuncture.

G's Crazy Dream

G asked me if I had a weird dream last night. Not that I recall. So I asked him:

I dreamed that the first one, a hippo, came and made a house and the second one, a bird, came and made a microphone and I don't remember what the third one was. I don't remember anything after that.

Roller Coaster and an Extended Family

I had another roller coaster in my dream last night. It went up, then backwards and then around. There were also fleas in my dream. They were al over my carpet and I had to try to figure out how to get rid of them.

In the last part of my dream it was some holiday and we were at a school and my mom and Rachel were there. No one would help me with Little One. So I went outside to the playground and ignored everyone. It was really late. I think this is where I saw the roller coaster. It turned to be really late at night. I know there was more to it, but it's elusive this morning.

A Concert

I was at a concert. As I was walking in I took one of my blue glasses (of which I only have six) and threw it away, thinking I could get it again after the concert. As I was walking out I realized I didn't have the glass and I had to dig through the garbage to find it. I was frustrated because Dave would find out and we wouldn't have enough glasses. My co-worker's boyfriend was in the dream. I met him and we talked for a while. People were getting in their planes to go home. They were on the street, just as cars would be.

G's Dream

G asked me to blog this. He says it was a dream, but it was about 2 seconds after I put him to bed and I'm sure it was something he was just thinking about. I was getting some yarn ready to sell on Craig'slist and this is what he said:

"I dreamed a man in a truck came by to by your yarn and he gave you One Thousand Hundred Dollars."

If only....

The Rollercoast

I had a second in a row dream that had a bit of reality in it.

Noel and I were at Cedar Point. We were walking towards the Maverick, past the Millenium when she said that she wouldn't go on a ride that had an over the shoulder bar. The Millenium was in the clouds and it looked awesome. Then, we were sitting in a section of it, having Little One's birthday party. His great-grandma got him iron skillets, which I didn't understand. Mamma got him a new type of stroller that had 2 seats on it, but we weren't going to put it together. Some girls that were sitting next to us wrote "Happy Birthday" on their magnadoodle to show to him. We had no place to store the presents but we put them in a big toy bin, like one I had grown up with (kind of looks like bins at waterparks where they store the lifejackets) and we paddlocked them.

Marketing

How apropos this dream is:

My friend Noel was having a marketing campaign in her house. She was showing students how to go about marketing. She had 2 boxes filled with different kinds of bags of chips and she had different dipping sauces. Her technique was to get the prospective buyer to want to try all the different flavor combinations. Behind her, hanging close to the floor, was a railing that had yellow dresses hanging from it and it reminded me of Snow White and the 7 dwarves, at least that style of clothing. She had used them for a different marketing campaign she had.

The funny part is that, although she doesn't sell chips, Noel is in marketing.

Lightning and Thunder

So last night we had a major lightning and thunder storm at about 4:00 or so (I didn't look at the clock). It woke me up. I love lightning and thunder. No rain came, but then, at about 5:00 there was the loudest thunderclap I had ever heard. It felt like it was directly outside of our house and it came directly on top of the lightning, which meant that it was directly outside our house. I don't get scared, but that clap was so loud that I hugged my husband and then, after a beat, awed in its wonder. A few seconds later - torrential rains. I went to Little One's room to close the windows and as I opened his curtain - lightning blinded me. Then I went into the bathroom - lightning in the eyes #2. Back in bed, lightning in the eyes #s 3 and 4. It felt like paparazzi. It took about an hour to fall asleep and I know I had a good dream when I got back there, but I awoke so tired that I can't remember what it was.

New Place for Dancers

I was walking down a street. All the buildings were close together and the street was very, very narrow. There were all these djs out playing and they each had one dancer with them. There was a very specific set up, and the street was labelled where everything went. Stereo here, railing there, dancer over there - in a very small, 3x4 space. I was watching one dj as he was setting up, but he was on someone else's territory. There was a black fire escape and the dancer was standing on it.
